Photography has become more than just a hobby for me. Since I first laid hands on a digital camera back in 2001, I've never stopped shooting. With over 40,000 shots in my collection, I've taken this newfound passion far beyond the level of 'amateur'. My first camrea was a Nikon CoolPix 885, bought in 2003 for the sum total of ~$500US. This was my primary rig for a number of years, until about 2006 when I had the chance to borrow a Canon 30D on a regular basis. I finally bought my own on reccomendation from a friend in the spring of 2008, after learning that I would be heading to Australia for my research.

I currently do this for my own enjoyment, but have recently considered submitting my work to various photo contests related to my other extra-cirricular activites, namely the outdoors and climbing. My work includes multi-shot panoramics, high dynamic range (HDR), as well as artistic renditions.
